Free business software, made in Mauritius.
Bienzoli is built by VINCEDOTCODE LTD, here, for the shops around us. This page explains who we are, why the app is free, and what we will not do with your data.
Why this exists
Most small businesses in Mauritius run on WhatsApp, paper and Excel. That combination works — it has worked for decades — right up until an invoice goes missing, stock runs out with no warning, or nobody can remember who still owes what.
The software that fixes this exists, but it is mostly built for somewhere else: priced in dollars per user per month, designed around VAT regimes and payment rails that are not ours, and sold through a demo call. For a shop in Curepipe with three staff, that is not a serious option.
Bienzoli is the small, local, free version of that. POS, stock, invoices and customers. That is all.
Who builds it
Bienzoli is built and operated by VINCEDOTCODE LTD, registered in Mauritius. It is a small team — small enough that when you report something broken, the person who fixes it will have read your message.
Why it's free, honestly
Because software nobody uses teaches you nothing. We would rather have real shops running real sales through it and telling us what is wrong than have a pricing page and no users.
Two things we will not do:
- We do not sell your data. Not your customers, not your sales figures, not aggregated, not anonymised.
- We do not market to your customers. Your customer list is yours. It is not a channel for us.
If paid features ever arrive, they will be additions on top — not a fence around what you already depend on. And you can export your data and leave whenever you like. Our data protection page spells out the rest.
What we're deliberately not building
Bienzoli does not do VAT or tax calculation, payroll, accounting ledgers, multi-currency, multi-warehouse stock, or payment processing. Some of that may come. Some of it never will, because a tool that does everything for everyone ends up doing nothing well for a shop with two people behind the counter.
We would rather tell you that upfront than have you discover it three weeks in. The feature pages for point of sale, invoicing, stock and customers each end with what that part does not do.
Where your data lives
Your data sits in a managed PostgreSQL database run by Supabase, with the app hosted on Vercel — both in the Singapore region, the closest major region to Mauritius, which is also why the app feels quick from here. That does mean some processing happens outside Mauritius, and our privacy policy sets that out properly rather than burying it.
On the split of responsibility: you are the controller of your customers' data, we are the processor acting on your instructions. Our data processing terms cover it in the language the law uses.
Getting hold of us
Message us on WhatsApp, or email hello@bienzoli.com. If you have found a security problem, there is a dedicated route at /.well-known/security.txt — we would much rather hear it from you than from someone else.
