How to send an invoice on WhatsApp.
Business in Mauritius happens on WhatsApp. Here is how to send a proper invoice through it — one your customer can open, read and keep — in about a minute, for free.
Why bother, when a text message works?
A message saying "Rs 4,500 for the parts" does work. It works until the customer says they paid, or remembers the figure differently, or wants the details for their own accounts. Then you are scrolling back through months of chat trying to prove what was agreed.
A real invoice gives the exchange a number, a date, a list of what was actually bought, and a status. It takes the same minute to send.
Step 1 — Add the customer once
Go to Customers, add their name, and put in their WhatsApp number. Include the country code where you can. This is the only step you repeat per customer, and only the first time you bill them.
Step 2 — Build the invoice
Open a new invoice, pick the customer, and add your products. Because prices come from your catalogue, the total is calculated rather than typed — which is where the mistakes normally live.

Step 3 — Send it
Open the invoice and press Send on WhatsApp. WhatsApp opens with the message already written: the invoice number, your business name, the total, and a private link to the invoice itself. If the customer has a number saved, the chat is already addressed to them.
Your customer taps the link and sees a clean invoice on their phone: your business name, what they bought, the total, and whether it is paid. Nothing to install.
Send it to the person, not the group. The link is unguessable and hidden from search engines, but anyone who has it can open the invoice. That is what makes it convenient, and it is also why it belongs in a one-to-one chat.
Step 4 — Mark it paid
When the money lands — cash, MCB Juice, bank transfer, however you took it — open the invoice and press Mark as paid. The customer's outstanding balance drops and the payment counts toward what you collected this month.
Do this consistently and you get the one number most businesses cannot answer: exactly who still owes you, right now, without thinking about it.
Being realistic about what this is
Your customer cannot pay through the link — there is no card payment on it. They pay you the way they already do, and you mark it paid. Bienzoli also has no VAT calculation, so if you are VAT registered and need a compliant tax invoice, this is not the tool for that part of your business yet.
